GETTING TO HIDDEN HILL
Hidden Hill sits above the old town of Coalville ~ a small hamlet in the valley of the Narracan Creek, West Gippsland.
We are approximately 145 km east of Melbourne.

FROM MELBOURNE –
DAYTIME SCENIC ROUTE:
Take the M1 towards Traralgon. Pass through the pretty township of Yarragon to the next pretty township of Trafalgar. Turn off the freeway at the Trafalgar pub – Contingent St – and follow the road for approximately 8.3 km to the Narracan Connection Road turnoff. Turn left onto Narracan Connection Road. Approximately 4 km later, you’ll pass the Narracan Hall and cross Narracan Creek. Turn left into Coalville Road, for approximately 3.9 km until you reach the tennis courts on your left. Turn left into Rosatos Road, cross the creek and turn left again immediately after the bridge. Follow the road to the top, where you’ll find Hidden Hill.
FROM MELBOURNE –
NIGHT TIME EASIER ROUTE:
Take the M1 towards Traralgon. Pass through the pretty township of Yarragon and the next pretty township of Trafalgar. Turn off the freeway at the second Moe exit, signposted Moe, Newborough, Yallourn North. At the T intersection, turn right, signposted Coalville. Cross over the freeway and immediately after, turn right again, signposted Coalville. Follow this road for approximately 2 km. At the cross roads, continue straight ahead (which is slightly left and downhill). Hidden Hill is signposted here. Continue another 5 km to the tennis courts on your right. Turn right into Rosatos Road, cross the creek and turn left immediately after the bridge. Follow the road to the top, where you’ll find Hidden Hill.
FROM TRARALGON –
DIRECT ROUTE:
Take the M1 towards Melbourne. Take the first Moe exit, signposted Yallourn North. Then follow signs to McDonalds Track. At approximately 2 km, turn right onto Pearces Track. At the crossroads, turn hard left onto Coalville Road. Hidden Hill is signposted here. Continue another 4.5 km to the tennis courts on your right. Turn right into Rosatos Road, cross the creek and turn left immediately after the bridge. Follow the road to the top, where you’ll find Hidden Hill.
