LEAVE THE CITY BEHIND

We host families and groups who are looking to get away and spend some relaxing time in the peace of the country.

An opportunity for kids to see some alpacas, pet some sheep and collect some eggs ~ and of course for parents to unwind and reconnect.

THINGS TO DISCOVER

WHERE ARE WE?

Coalville is a small hamlet in the valley of the Narracan Creek – Gippsland, 7 km south of Moe and about 145 km east of Melbourne. We are a short drive to Narracan Falls, Edward Hunter Bush Reserve and Old Gippstown – Gippsland’s Heritage Park. Sustainable produce is abundant in the area as well as the allure of local wineries, galleries and markets.

FAMILY & FRIENDS

Looking for a place to stay together and play together? Self-contained, communal living facilities for 37, spacious kitchen, cosy wood fire, undercover BBQ area with open fire, swimming pool, bar and recreational activities for kids – and big kids. Perfect for large family gatherings or for groups of families who like to get away together once in a while.

ANIMALS GALORE

Working farm with an Angora goat (Dorothy), two Alpacas (Kahlúa & Dusty), two Emus (Bella & Edwina), 5 Persian/Dorpa sheep (Ella, Nina, Billie, Valentine and Bertie) and of course – loads of chooks – in all shapes and sizes!  Wombats, echidnas, wallabies, rosellas, cockatoos, galahs, kookaburras, magpies, boobook owls, wedge-tail eagles and king parrots are frequent visitors.

PLACES NEAR BY

Destinations such as the plateau of Mt Baw Baw and the picturesque historic gold-mining village of Walhalla are approximately an hour away. The region provides stunning scenery as you explore and wind your way through the countryside, whilst neighbouring towns such as Thorpdale, Mirboo North and Trafalgar are not too far away. For the adventurous – the heights of McDonalds Track through to Grand Ridge Road – Seaview deliver superb northern views across the valley and beyond.
